Blairs opt for best available option to improve its window and door production capability

Established in 1913, Blairs Window & Doors designs and manufactures timber, aluminium and PVCu products across Scotland.

Blairs needed to replace its 36-year-old Harbs machine.

After researching major manufacturers, Blairs selected IWM and Soukup’s Wizard 4L CNC machining centre.

The Wizard 4L comprises two independent machines for tenoning and profiling.

Capacity:

• 30-40 one-leaf windows per shift traditional milling
• Up to 60 knock-down windows per shift

Pre-delivery inspection at the Soukup factory confirmed their decision.

Joe Boyd stated that productivity and reliability have significantly improved.
