Falach 30 Briquette Machine

Falach · Briquette & Wood Waste
A straightforward, low-running-cost hydraulic briquette press for workshops generating a steady volume of wood waste. Handles dust, shavings and chippings — including MDF — and runs on a standard 3-phase 16-amp supply.

Typically chosen by

  • Workshops generating a steady but modest volume of wood dust and shavings who want a straightforward route to briquetting without overspecifying
  • Businesses where a single-phase supply is not available and a 3-phase 16-amp connection is already in place or practical to install
  • Operations where floor space is limited and a machine footprint under 2 metres long is a practical requirement

Not all waste streams briquette equally. Moisture content, particle size, and material mix all affect output quality and briquette consistency. We’ll run your material on the machine and report back before you make any decision.

Key specification considerations

Output
25–35 kg/hour
At full production, a 0.33 m³ hopper will require refilling roughly every 10–15 minutes depending on material bulk density — factor this into operator workflow.
Briquette Diameter
50 mm
Noise Level
68 dB
68 dB is broadly comparable to a normal conversation at close range — acoustic enclosure or treatment is unlikely to be required at this level.
Power Supply
3-phase, 16 amp / 4 kW pump motor
Confirm your site has a suitable 3-phase 16-amp supply before ordering — this is not a single-phase machine.

Capacity
25–35 kg/hour
Briquette Diameter
50 mm
Dimensions (L × W × H)
1860 × 890 × 1100 mm
Allow additional clearance around the machine for hopper loading, briquette discharge, and operator access — the working envelope will exceed the machine footprint.
Weight
400 kg
At 400 kg, check that your floor loading is adequate before installation — this is particularly relevant in upper-floor or mezzanine workshop situations.
Hopper Volume
0.33 m³
Pump Motor Input
4 kW
Power Consumption
2.2 kW/hour
Power Supply
3-phase, 16 amp
Confirm supply availability on site before ordering.
Suitable Input Materials
All types of wood waste — shavings, dust, chippings including MDF
Input material must be dry — moisture content should not exceed 15% for consistent briquette formation.
Operation
Continuous
Oil Cooler
No
The Falach 30 uses a large-capacity oil tank in place of an active cooler, which is sufficient for continuous operation under normal workshop conditions.
Auto Reverse Vertical Agitator
No
Without an agitator, fine or compacted materials may require manual intervention to feed consistently into the press chamber.
Automatic Switch-out
No
The machine requires manual supervision and shutdown — it will not stop automatically on completion or fault condition beyond the electrically interlocked lid.
Electrically Interlocked Lid
Yes
The press cannot operate with the hopper lid open, which is a standard safety requirement in most workshop environments.
Chromed Piston and Press Chamber
Yes
Funnel-shaped Hopper
Yes
Noise Level
68 dB
Warranty
12 months

Is this the right
machine for you?

Choose the Falach 30 Briquette Machine if...

  • Your workshop produces enough waste to make briquetting worthwhile, but output of 25–35 kg/hour comfortably covers your needs without overspecifying
  • You have a 3-phase 16-amp supply available and want to keep running costs modest — at 2.2 kW/hour consumption, operating costs are low
  • Floor space is at a premium and a machine under 1.9 metres long is a practical fit for your layout
  • You are comfortable with manual hopper feeding and operator supervision, and do not need automated features to justify the investment

Consider an alternate model if...

  • You need higher throughput — the Falach 35 (30–40 kg/hour) or Falach 50 (40–60 kg/hour) would be more appropriate if waste volumes are consistently higher, and the Falach 50 also adds an oil cooler and automatic agitator as standard
  • Your workshop generates lighter, more intermittent waste and a smaller machine would suffice — the Falach Cube 20 (10–25 kg/hour, 30 × 30 mm square briquette) may be worth discussing with us instead
  • You require an oil cooler for sustained heavy-duty runs or automated features such as an agitator or automatic switch-out to reduce operator involvement — talk to IWM about which Falach models carry these as standard
