Planer Thicknessers

A planer thicknesser does two jobs in one machine: it face-planes timber to a flat, true surface, then thicknesses it to a consistent dimension. For any workshop producing joinery, furniture, or structural timber, it is one of the most regularly used machines on the floor.

The range we specify covers benchtop and freestanding models suited to small craft workshops through to heavier production machines built for continuous use. Key things to consider when specifying are the cutting width, the depth of cut, feed speed, and whether a helical or segmented cutterhead is worth the extra investment for your material mix and finish requirements.
