Stair Machines

Stair machines — sometimes called stair stringer machines — are specialist woodworking machines designed to cut and shape the stringers and structural components of a staircase to precise dimensions and angles. They are a core part of any joinery shop producing made-to-measure staircases, allowing consistent, accurate results that would be difficult and time-consuming to achieve by hand.

Depending on the model, these machines can be configured with a range of tooling — including routers, saws, and drills — to handle different staircase profiles and construction methods. Both manual and more automated options exist, so the right choice depends on your volume of work and the complexity of the staircases you produce.

If you are setting up or expanding a staircase manufacturing operation, talk to us about which configuration is likely to suit your workflow. We have been specifying joinery machinery for British workshops for over 50 years and can help you avoid over- or under-specifying for your needs.
