Bandsaws

A bandsaw is one of the most versatile machines in a timber or joinery workshop. The continuous blade running around two or three wheels gives a smooth, consistent cut with relatively low kerf loss — useful whether you are resawing thick stock, ripping boards, or cutting curved components for joinery and furniture work.

Machines vary considerably in throat width, wheel diameter, blade speed, and the weight of construction, so the right choice depends on the timber sizes you work with and the volume of cutting you need to do.
