Thicknessers
A thicknesser brings timber to a consistent, accurate thickness in a controlled, repeatable way — something hand planing simply cannot match at volume. Whether you are preparing boards for furniture, joinery components, or bespoke cabinetry, having the right machine for your material sizes and throughput makes a significant difference to both finish quality and working time.
The range we specify covers machines suited to smaller craft workshops through to busy production environments. Key considerations when choosing a thicknesser include working width, feed speed, cutter block type, and how the machine will sit alongside your existing planer or combination equipment. Spiral and segmented cutter blocks, for example, tend to run more quietly and can give a cleaner finish on difficult grain — but they are not always the right choice for every budget or application.
If you are unsure which specification suits your workshop, talk to us. We are happy to discuss your timber sizes, output requirements, and available space before you commit to anything.
