Falach 70 Briquette Machine

Falach · Briquette & Wood Waste
A continuous-run hydraulic briquetter that turns sawdust and shavings from virgin wood into 70 mm certified briquettes at up to 80 kg/hour — giving medium-to-large timber and joinery operations a saleable or self-used fuel product from waste they would otherwise pay to remove.

Typically chosen by

  • Timber merchants and sawmills looking to turn shavings and offcuts into a saleable or self-used fuel product rather than paying for waste removal
  • Joinery and furniture workshops running multiple shifts who need a machine that operates continuously without manual intervention
  • Businesses in or supplying smoke control areas who need certified briquettes from virgin wood that comply with the UK Clean Air Strategy
Before you commit

Send us a sample - we’ll test your material first

Not all waste streams briquette equally. Moisture content, particle size, and material mix all affect output quality and briquette consistency. We’ll run your material on the machine and report back before you make any decision.

Key specification considerations

Production Rate
60–80 kg/hour
At full rate, the 0.75 m³ hopper will need recharging roughly every 45–60 minutes — worth factoring into how your waste feed is organised.
Briquette Diameter
70 mm
Power Consumption
4.9 kW/hour
The machine requires a 3-phase supply — confirm your workshop's phase and amperage capacity before ordering.
Noise Level
68 dB
68 dB is roughly the level of a normal conversation — no acoustic treatment is required under typical workshop conditions.

Briquette Diameter
70 mm
Briquette Length
40–60 mm
Dimensions (L × W × H)
2220 × 1200 × 1510 mm
Allow additional clearance around all sides for hopper loading, briquette discharge, and operator access — a footprint area of at least 4 × 3 m is a practical working allowance.
Weight
840 kg
At this weight, floor loading should be checked — particularly in older buildings or on suspended floors.
Hopper Volume
0.75 m³
Pump Motor Input
7.5 kW

Electrical Supply
3-phase, 32 amp
Operation
Continuous
Oil Cooler
No
The machine uses an enlarged hydraulic oil tank in place of an active cooler — adequate for normal continuous operation without additional cooling equipment.
Auto Reverse Vertical Agitator
Yes
This prevents material bridging in the hopper and keeps the feed consistent without the operator having to intervene manually.
Automatic Switch-out
Yes
The machine will shut itself down safely if a fault condition is detected, reducing the risk of damage or operator error during unattended running.
Noise Level
68 dB
68 dB is roughly the level of a normal conversation — no acoustic treatment is required under typical workshop conditions.
Briquette Certification
UK Clean Air Strategy compliant (virgin wood only)
Certification applies to briquettes produced from virgin (untreated, uncontaminated) wood only — if your waste stream includes treated, painted, or composite timber, talk to us before specifying this machine for certified fuel production.

Is this the right
machine for you?

Choose the Falach 70 Briquette Machine if...

  • Your workshop generates enough virgin wood waste to justify continuous-run production at 60–80 kg/hour — typically a medium-to-large sawmill, timber merchant, or busy joinery operation
  • You need briquettes certified for smoke control areas, whether for your own use or for sale, and your waste stream is virgin wood throughout
  • You want a largely hands-off process — the auto agitator and automatic switch-out mean the machine can run with minimal supervision
  • You have confirmed 3-phase electrical supply and adequate floor loading for an 840 kg machine

Consider an alternate model if...

  • Your waste volumes are lower — the Falach 50XL (40–60 kg/hour) or Falach 35 (30–40 kg/hour) may be a better match and will cost less to run
  • Your workshop footprint is constrained — the Falach 20 or Falach 20XL have a significantly smaller footprint (1250 × 740 mm base) and may suit tighter spaces
  • You are a smaller operation or are new to briquetting — the Falach 30 (25–35 kg/hour) is worth discussing with us as a lower-commitment starting point
  • You do not yet have 3-phase supply and are unsure about upgrading — talk to us before specifying any machine in this range
