Falach 100 Briquette Machine

Falach · Briquette & Wood Waste
A continuous-run hydraulic press for high-volume wood waste — turning shavings, dust, and chippings into a consistent 70 mm briquette at up to 120 kg/hour. Suited to UK timber and joinery workshops that generate waste at scale and want something useful or saleable at the end of it.

Typically chosen by

  • Timber merchants and sawmills with high daily waste volumes who need a press that can run continuously without operator intervention
  • Joinery shops and panel processors looking to offset waste disposal costs by producing a saleable or usable briquette product
  • Businesses that have outgrown a smaller press and need throughput capacity that keeps pace with production
Before you commit

Send us a sample - we’ll test your material first

Not all waste streams briquette equally. Moisture content, particle size, and material mix all affect output quality and briquette consistency. We’ll run your material on the machine and report back before you make any decision.

Key specification considerations

Production Output
90–120 kg/hour
At full rate, the 0.75 m³ hopper will empty in roughly 30–50 minutes depending on material density — factor this into how your extraction feeds the press.
Briquette Diameter
70 mm
Power Consumption
8.2 kW/hour
The machine requires a 3-phase, 32-amp supply — confirm your workshop supply is adequate before ordering.
Noise Level
62 dB (max, under load)
62 dB is roughly equivalent to a normal conversation — no acoustic treatment is required under standard workshop conditions.

Briquette Diameter
70 mm
Briquette Length
45 mm (adjustable via potentiometer)
The on-board potentiometer lets you adjust briquette length to suit the density of material being pressed, giving you control over briquette consistency.
Briquette Density
900–1,100 kg/m³
Compression Method
Hydraulic piston, 10 tons per square inch
Accepted Materials
All wood waste types: shavings, dust, chippings, MDF — max 15% moisture content
Material above 15% moisture will not compress reliably and may damage the press — check your waste stream before running MDF or green timber offcuts.
Dimensions (L × W × H)
2220 × 1200 × 1510 mm
Allow additional clearance beyond the footprint for infeed ducting, briquette discharge, and operator access — this is a larger machine and siting should be planned carefully.
Weight
810 kg
At this weight, floor loading capacity should be checked with your building surveyor before installation.
Hopper Volume
0.75 m³
Pump Motor Input
11 kW
Power Consumption
8.2 kW/hour

Electrical Supply
3-phase, 32 amp
Operation
Continuous
The press runs without stopping between cycles, making it suited to workshops where waste is generated at a steady, ongoing rate rather than in batches.
Oil Cooler
Yes
Prevents hydraulic oil from overheating during extended continuous runs, which protects the press and reduces unplanned downtime.
Auto Reverse Vertical Agitator
Yes
Prevents bridging or blockages in the hopper, reducing the need for manual intervention when processing fine or fluffy materials such as planer shavings.
Automatic Switch-out
Yes
The machine can shut itself down safely without an operator present, useful for workshops where the press runs at the end of a shift.
Noise Level
62 dB (max, under load)
62 dB is roughly equivalent to a normal conversation — no acoustic treatment is required under standard workshop conditions.
Certification
UKCA
UKCA marking confirms the machine meets UK product safety requirements post-Brexit — equivalent to CE for the UK market and required for legal sale and use in Great Britain.
Lead Time
Normally 4–6 weeks from receipt of order
Installation & Commissioning

Cost varies by location — talk to us when enquiring and we will confirm the figure for your site.

Is this the right
machine for you?

Choose the Falach 100 Briquette Machine if...

  • Your workshop generates enough waste to justify 90–120 kg/hour of throughput on a sustained basis
  • You need a press that can run continuously through a shift without requiring an operator to stand over it
  • You are producing briquettes for resale or regular fuel use and need consistent volume and a uniform 70 mm format
  • You have already outgrown a mid-range press and need a step up in capacity without moving to an industrial-scale machine

Consider an alternate model if...

  • Your waste volumes are lower or intermittent — the Falach 50XL (40–60 kg/hour) or Falach 35 (30–40 kg/hour) may be better matched to your actual throughput
  • Floor space is limited — the Falach 20 or Falach 20XL has a significantly smaller footprint (L 1250 × W 740 mm) and may suit a tighter workshop layout
  • You are running a single-phase supply and cannot easily upgrade — the electrical requirement here is 3-phase 32 amp, which some smaller workshops cannot accommodate
  • Your budget or waste volume does not justify the step up from a smaller Falach model — talk to us and we will help you calculate whether the throughput gain is worth it for your situation
