Falach 35 Briquette Machine

Falach · Briquette & Wood Waste
A continuous-run hydraulic press that turns dry wood waste — shavings, dust, chippings and MDF — into dense 50 mm briquettes at 30–40 kg/hour. Well suited to timber and joinery workshops where waste disposal is a genuine overhead and consistent output matters.

Typically chosen by

  • Timber and joinery shops looking to offset waste disposal costs by producing saleable or usable briquettes
  • Workshops with a consistent, moderate flow of dry wood waste who need a machine that runs continuously without operator intervention
  • Businesses upgrading from a smaller press — such as the Falach 30 — where output has outgrown capacity

Not all waste streams briquette equally. Moisture content, particle size, and material mix all affect output quality and briquette consistency. We’ll run your material on the machine and report back before you make any decision.

Key specification considerations

Production Output
30–40 kg/hour
At full production rate, the 0.33 m³ hopper will need refilling approximately every 20–30 minutes depending on material bulk density — factor this into your workflow.
Briquette Size
50 mm diameter · 35–50 mm length
Power Supply
3-phase, 16A — Pump Motor 4 kW / Consumption 2.2 kW/h
Confirm you have a 3-phase 16A supply available at the installation point before ordering — this is not a single-phase machine.
Noise Level
68 dB
68 dB is broadly comparable to a normal conversation — acoustic treatment is unlikely to be required, but check your workshop's overall ambient noise picture.

Accepted Materials
All wood waste — shavings, dust, chippings, MDF
Maximum moisture content 15% — wetter material will not press reliably and may damage the machine over time.
Dimensions (L × W × H)
1860 × 890 × 1100 mm
Allow additional clearance around all sides for material feed, briquette discharge, and operator access — the stated footprint is the machine envelope only.
Weight
400 kg
Above the threshold where floor loading should be verified — check your workshop slab rating before installation.

Operation
Continuous
Oil Cooler
No
Without an oil cooler, sustained high-ambient-temperature environments may affect hydraulic performance — discuss duty cycle and workshop conditions with IWM if this is a concern.
Auto Reverse Vertical Agitator
Yes
The agitator prevents material bridging in the hopper, reducing the need for operator intervention during a run.
Automatic Switch-out
Yes
The machine will shut down automatically under fault conditions, reducing the risk of unattended damage.
Electrically Interlocked Lid
Yes
The machine cannot operate with the lid open, which is a practical safeguard during loading.
Chromed Piston and Press Chamber
Yes
Chrome surfaces resist wear and corrosion, which matters for long-term consistency of briquette density and reduced maintenance intervals.
Noise Level
68 dB
68 dB is broadly comparable to a normal conversation — acoustic treatment is unlikely to be required.
Certification
UKCA
UKCA marking confirms the machine meets UK product safety requirements — relevant if your insurers or premises require certified equipment.
Lead Time
4–6 weeks

Is this the right
machine for you?

Choose the Falach 35 Briquette Machine if...

  • Your workshop generates enough waste to justify continuous operation but 30–40 kg/hour is a realistic match for your actual throughput
  • You need a larger footprint machine than the Falach 20 or Falach 30 but your output doesn't yet warrant stepping up to the Falach 50 or 50XL
  • You want a machine with an automatic agitator and auto switch-out to reduce hands-on monitoring during production runs
  • Your installation has a 3-phase 16A supply and floor space of approximately 1860 × 890 mm plus working clearance

Consider an alternate model if...

  • Your waste volume is more modest — the Falach 30 (25–35 kg/hour) or Falach 20 may be a better fit and will take up less floor space
  • You need higher throughput — the Falach 50 or Falach 50XL both offer 40–60 kg/hour and may be worth the step up if you are close to the upper limit of the 35's output
  • Workshop space is tight — the Falach 20 (L 1250 × W 740 mm) and Falach 20XL have a significantly smaller footprint if floor area is a constraint
  • You anticipate running the machine hard in a warm environment and want built-in oil cooling — the Falach 50 and Falach 50XL both include an oil cooler as standard, making either a more suitable choice for high duty-cycle or high-temperature installations
